Cycle, a simple 2 wheeled vehicle is easily one of the iconic inventions of modern human history. Over the years, it’s shape and form have undergone multiple changes. The modern cycles are equipped with many cool features. Cycling has always been a popular way of transport all over the world, and it does come with some great benefits too.

Maintaining health and fitness-
Cycling can be a very good option for weight loss. Cycling being a cardiovascular activity helps in burning calories and reducing the chances of health diseases and cancer. It also builds muscle strength especially of the lower body and improves the posture. It is a low impact workout as it does not put a strain on the body as much as running or weight lifting.

Cycles can be easily called the common man’s vehicle as it is affordable by almost every section of society. Though cycles range at various prices, an average cycle or at least a second-hand cycle is quite cheap and can be easily bought by an ordinary household. Also, it does not require any fuel, battery recharge and has low maintenance cost thus further making it more economical to people.

One of the most important benefit of cycling is it contributed significantly towards reduction of pollution. It can be a great alternative to fossil fuel vehicles for short distance travelling in times of rising fuel prices. In this way, it will also help in conserving fast depleting oil resources.

And above all, cycling is great fun. It releases adrenaline and endorphin which can cheer up the mood.
It also helps in improving concentration and co-ordination. People of all age groups can choose cycling to improve lifestyle and recreational purposes.
The only thing to take care of is riding cautiously on roads to avoid accidents and wearing basic safety gears to avoid injuries.

In today’s world where humans are heavily used to sedentary lifestyle along with being prone to physical and mental diseases, Cycling stands as best option to take up healthy and happy life choices. So don’t think much, keep your phones aside, get your bike and enjoy the blissful ride.
