1) Paan Singh Tomar
The story of Paan Singh Tomar, an Indian athlete and seven-time national champion who becomes one of the most feared dacoits in Chambal Valley after his retirement.

Irrfan is mesmerizing in the film an innocent, naive, charming athlete, a man with a clean heart, who later became an angry, menacing outlaw. The camera loves him and it is impossible to look away from the screen when the focus is on him
The movie is elevated by Irrfan.
Without romanticizing Paan Singh, he showed his basic honesty and gives him real depth. As an actor,Irrfan rarely does the expected. You can't take your eyes off him.

2) Piku
A quirky comedy about the relationship between a daughter and her aging father, whose eccentricities drive everyone crazy.

Irrfan Khan is characteristically flawless in the movir despite a less author-backed role than father and daughter, he imbues his character with enough authenticity to steal many a scene and give the narrative its consistency

8) Life in a metro
Six different stories, about nine people, each with different issues and problems, all occurring within one place: the METRO.

Irrfan is definitely one of the main reasons why we  love to watch this movie whenever it is aired.
His character of a sweet confused charming guy with cute humour infused soul in that well-made film.
After seeing Irrfan play Monty, don't we all need a guy like him in our lives?

Irrfan Khan plays the role of older version Pi Patel, a boy who survived being lost at sea with a Bengal tiger, the actor’s role involves dictating the fantastical story to a curious writer (played by Rafe Spall) over a nice meal. Irrfan Khan makes the dialogue-heavy moments as mesmerizing as the films awe-inspiring visuals.

10) The lunchbox
This is my personal favorite.
A mistaken delivery in Mumbai’s famously efficient lunchbox delivery system connects a young housewife to an older man in the dusk of his life as they build a fantasy world together through notes in the lunchbox.

Irrfan's Saajan Fernandes is a widowed accountant who has an epistolary romance with a lonely housewife. As Saajan slowly opens up to new possibilities
